Last week, during the blizzard that hit most of the midwest, my cousin Kayla's fiance was involved in a major accident. Jon slipped outside on the ice/snow, hit his head when he fell and was unconscious in the road. An SUV came along, didn't see him lying there, and ran over him.
Jon has been in critical condition in the hospital ever since. He has already received more than 38 units of blood because of all of the internal bleeding. He has a lacerated liver, damaged kidneys, a punctured lung, multiple broken bones, and is currently on a ventilator. He has undergone 4 surgeries so far, and will be having another one this afternoon to remove a portion of his liver that has died due to the trauma of the accident.
At a time like this, it is easy to question where God is and how he could have let this happen. But instead, we have all chosen to praise God for the miracles He has given us. And I know that Jon's recovery will be no exception!
My cousin Dana made a facebook group to give updates, as well as allow people to post prayers and songs and memories of Jon. It's been amazing to see so many people come together and share their faith and prayers! These songs have been included recently and are two of my absolute favorite worship songs. I wanted to share them with you all... so ENJOY! :)

So sad to hear about your friend but you're right, God is mighty to save! Love the song choices and the heart behind what you're all doing - praising in the midst of hardship. That's exactly how the Lord called us to handle it.
Your comment on my blog made me tear up. Thank you. I'm so grateful you're in my life and while I'd never wish anything unhappy on you, it's nice that you know where I'm coming from. It's nice to not feel alone.
Love you.

Oh Becca... you aren't ever alone! I know that I live in IN and you are in FL but I will ALWAYS be here for you! And I can promise you that!
Going through tough stuff isn't ever fun and it hurts. But it makes us stronger and a little smarter the next time around. That's the positive I hang on to! Plus I think it makes us grow as people, and in our relationship with God.
You are an amazing person and you deserve only the VERY best! Don't ever settle for anything less.
LOVE YOU!
