Friday Ramblings...

If you could remember my cousin and the family in your prayers, it would be much appreciated. I posted about my cousin Kayla's fiance's accident and I am sad to say that he passed away this past Tuesday. He fought as long as he could, but eventually the severity of his his injuries were too much, and God decided to relieve him of his suffering. While everyone is grateful for that, it is still an extremely difficult burden to bear. I pray for strength and comfort for Kayla. And I pray the same for Jon's young daughter Peyton. I know they are going to have some difficult days ahead of them.

I stumbled upon this verse today (from a friend's blog who just recently lost her husband) and I shared it with Kayla.

Psalm 71:20-21
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
What a relief to just read those words!

On a lighter note... Yesterday was my birthday. And it was great! I was overwhelmed with facebook comments, texts, cards, emails, and tweets ALL day long! Y'all sure do know how to make a girl feel loved! :)
I had dinner with my parents and brother at Naked tChopstick last night, and it was delicious as usual. There is just something about sushi that makes me a happy girl!

This was one of my gifts and I am beyond ecstatic about it! I can't wait to play around with it this weekend... and just in time for my trip to Florida!


I'm sporting this gem on my wrist today... thanks to the best little brother ever!


I had a birthday celebration in my hometown with all of my closest friends last weekend. It was a blast! My girls were all able to get together for dinner and then we met up with the guys at our local hangout after.





I'm looking forward to another birthday celebration in Indy this weekend with my best friend, my sister & brother-in-law, and my Indy favorites! (I wish my friend Becca was going to be in town so that she could join us!)

Tuesday night I'm heading to Indy after work, and then Wednesday morning my sister and I are headed to sunny southwest Florida for a long weekend! I can't wait to get away from everything here, see my Meme and Papa, enjoy my birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant, do some shopping, relax, and soak up some sun! This vacation couldn't have come at a better time! And what's even better is that I come home, and am back on a plane to Florida in less than 3 weeks! YAHOO!! :)
