A Must Read!

My friend Becca loves to read. A few months ago, I asked her for a list of must reads because I had wanted to get back into it myself. Among her list was this:



WOW! Let me tell you, I couldn't put this thing down! And I'm not normally that type of reader. Usually, I read a chapter, maybe 2 at a time, before my eyes get too heavy and I consistently read the same paragraph over and over.

This book reminded me of my relationship with my best friend Julie. Almost to a T. I laughed and bawled my eyes out, all the while reminiscing on our sweet childhood memories... the good and the bad. It made me think of the time span where we weren't friends because of a stupid falling out, and all the time that I missed watching her daughters (my nieces) grow. It reminded me of how we both swallowed our pride, made up, and dove right back into our friendship without skipping a beat. And most importantly, it reiterated how blessed I am to have such a wonderful best friend that I can share EVERYTHING with, that doesn't judge me, that loves me no matter what, and that will ALWAYS be there to support me. Friendships like that don't come around very often, and I am so lucky to have found one.

"That was the thing about best friends. Like sisters and mothers, they could piss you off and make you cry and break your heart, but in the end, when the chips were down, they were there, making you laugh even in your darkest hours. "
